I wonder if there are any old US laws still on the books that forbid funding nazis? Something from the WW2 era, or maybe something more recent that classifies organized [Ukrainian] nazi militia groups as terrorist organizations?
It's going to be a hard sell because in context of Russia/Ukraine, "Neo Nazi" is not exactly what we denote here in the West... over there it is more emphasizing the notion of simply being anti-Russian, that's why clearing out the "Nazis" made sense as one of Putin's main selling points to the Russian people for the invasion.
