Phone searches don't always work, in my experience.

For some, it doesn't work at all.

On browser, I always get search results, but the algorithm here is kinda sucky.

Something tells me that there must be some settings in place that curate posts depending on user device. There might be a plugin gone awry that's responsible, probably a setting the search uses to display a different list of posts in the search results so it graphically can fit in a phone screen.

Other than that, I can only assume it could be a cookie/cache issue. I recall that before the search bar started to be defunct for people, I was having issues where the community.win site would randomly log me out, but not on GAW or TDW and I had to manually enter "greatawakening.win/logout" in order to log out for realzies.

I'm just speculating here, but I would wager it is one of the above.
