I get asked by many that question. I also get told that Christ would show compassion and forgiveness for ALL transgressions so those who are followers should to....
I tell them that if they knew anything about God and Jesus they would know He is a vengeful Lord and He is not all forgiving or there would be no hell. He's pissed off that so many have gone against His commandments, after all there are only 10 of them, one for each finger. Forgiveness comes with repentance....repentance comes from acceptance of wrongdoing in the eyes of the Lord...
