TLDR: I need advice for a conspiracy newsletter I'm making. See last few paragraphs for specifics. Other advice welcome.
I'm starting a hella bootleg newsletter thing about basically things that most people don't know are happening and/or don't believe are happening because they saw a snopes article or something and called it a day, etc. Conspiracy theory stuff.
I'll be putting the issues into envelopes and leaving them under people's windshield wipers, as well as mailing a bunch out to completely random addresses. And then somewhere in the newsletter I'll leave an email for anyone who wants to be part of the permanent mailing list. I think this will be better than a website because it's more proactive and getting something like this in the mail or on your car isn't something that happens normally. If I received this in the mail one day, I'd think it was cool as fuck.
Here is what I would like your opinions on (and any other advice you may have is welcome and would be appreciated too):
How deep should I go on the first issue? I definitely want it to have shit that captures people's attention, but at the same time I don't want to immediately come across as insane on the very 1st issue. Or any issue really, since each issue after this will be the 1st issue for many people, due to the random nature that I'll be sending these out.
But I'm thinking of eventually getting into more and more darker shit as time goes on, and I'll just preface it by saying like "Hey I'm not saying this is definitely true, but it's worth investigating on the chance that it is true and here's the information we have to work with." That's good, right?
Is it legal to leave shit under people's windshield wipers?
How should I put these together? I'll be using letter sized newsprint paper. I don't want it to just be several loose pages. Stapling seems extra jankey. Is there another way that's better?
Thank you for your time reading all of this. Hoping for responses because I really want to do this right.
Thank you, I appreciate it!
