Funerals and the act of burial is a creepy, sick, ritualistic ceremony foisted upon a spiritually devoid species to take more money from them (and perhaps, many darker metaphysical elements are a motivation as well). I was going to end this post with "Change my Mind" but that wouldn't be honest. I'm convinced of it. Anyone else feel the same??

Have buried several close relatives over the years. Nothing about the funeral ritual brings closure in my opinion.
Funerals are for parents and widows and widowers.
It's different when you were discussing a science school project or Halloween plans with your children or discussing renovating the kitchen or promising to massage your wife's aching shoulders that evening and 3 seconds later they are gone forever.
Did you find closure in other ways?
The whole circus of the funereal helps you? When my parents had to bury my brother they said it was one of the hardest parts to do. It's a long dragged out process. Hugely Energetic consumption. What closure would they possibly get from that besides the PTSD they now received? Do you think they gace a fuck about who attended?? They do not even remember the faces of the people there. The trauma of it all....causing a huge mental rift. But yea...I guess that can be "Closure" for some.
