I mean I honestly agree with what he said, not 100% defend if that is what he meant, but certainly greatly reduce. Do we need cops driving around in sports cars and pickup trucks, using literal tanks to disperse crowds, and drones to further monitor us? I think not. There are more than just "parts" of the NYPD, or any PD's budget that are not essential for public safety, I would say literally the majority of their budget is used to further control and fuck us harder, rather than "keeping us safe".

I read somewhere that the NYPD would make it the 7th largest armed forces in the world counted alone.
