"You are wrong and you are destroying your life. You are delusional and we just care about you. Do you have any idea how much you are hurting us? Why are you trying to hurt us? You are breaking our hearts. Why won't you think of how this makes us feel?"
They care so much about me that their primary concern is how they feel.
I'm so disappointed with people around me, especially my family.
You choosing not to get jabbed or choosing to vote for a different politician than them HURTS them?? Like are they serious? Libs don’t know the meaning of words anymore. A disagreement is not a “hurt.” I’m sorry for real. Just like words are not violence.
I think they are annoyed that I make them feel guilty for their selfish choices.
For example, I helped to financially support my father in the last 15 years of his life. I have 3 brothers and they all didn't want to help Dad. My mother left Dad when I was a young teenager.
I was just a single (divorced for over 15 years) guy, working a medium pay job, struggling to make ends meet myself, but I helped my Dad out because, well... he was my father and that's what you're supposed to do, right?
Well now I lost my job over the COVID jab and been unemployed for over 6 months. I've run out of money and I'm doing it tough on unemployment payments that leave me with $60 per week after rent to live on, pay electricity, internet, phone etc.
All my family say it was my fault for financially helping Dad and helping him to be comfortable in the last 15 years of his life. No one in my family, including my own mother, will do a thing to assist me during this time at all.
My brothers all managed to buy houses, so why didn't I, according to them all.
I remind my family of their pure and utter selfishness, I believe. They aren't feeling "hurt" by my actions, they are feeling guilt over their selfishness and they mistake it for "hurt". That's the conclusion that I've come to.
Still... I'd do it all over again if I had the chance because it was the right thing to do.
Yeah, that really pisses me off. I have a side of the family who I don’t speak to anymore bc they were the same way. People would rather be childish and selfish rather than maintain the strong bonds a family should have. Those relationships are worth their weight in gold, but some ppl throw it away like it’s nothing. And you didn’t really have a choice- if you go against your core beliefs and do what they want, you’d be miserable. I had a mandated vax order come down at my work too, and I just happened to get lucky and get an exemption approved. If it wasn’t for that I would have lost my job too and I was fully ready to be told I was fired. There’s just no way ppl like us can get that shot just to get a paycheck. I’m really praying for you and that God will provide you some opportunities ❤️
And emotional blackmail as well, which came from my best friend.
"If you keep going down this path ...."
"It's entirely natural for people's relationships to fall apart"
