Perhaps you are forgetting that the world still functions as a majority IN THE REAL WORLD not within the mainstream or alternative media cycles.

The few million people who were hyped about the current happening forget and move on to the next but the handful who were motivated to take actual action (probably 0.1% of that few million) are still busy actually doing things in the 3D space.
