"Half" would be a boon to the economy. Consider that after you are allowed the scraps from your labor you are purchasing items and services which are also taxed. The people providing your goods and services are also taxed. The investments behind every business are taxed. Then you have tolls. Licenses. Fees. Duties. Tariffs. Tickets, Fines, and Levies.

We are slaves that were brainwashed into thinking we were free.

And all it takes is a simple read of a few documents. Converting a right into a privilege is unconstitutional and has been ruled on many times in state courts and the Supreme Court.
