Honest question for those who have seen the whole series… I’ve watched bits and pieces but haven’t sat through it all yet. Do you feel like it’s made you more or less encouraged about the state of affairs in our world? My mental state is pretty bad right now, I feel pretty hopeless about our world and I don’t want to make it worse
I won't watch it, I suffer from depression. It's important to care for yourself and that means moderating what you're doing - almost like a parent would to a child.
That's taking control of the situation. It's not our fault we have an emotional dysregulation but it is our responsibility.
A lot of people talk about how they've lost a lot being on these boards. It's important they understand that if they choose to engage in activities that causes them misery, God doesn't want that for you. We are supposed to live joyful lives!
God doesn't ask us to fight evil - he explicitly told us Jesus overcame evil on the cross and we are to spread the gospel. We are to spread the joy and the good news.
This kind of flies in the face of a lot of what people are doing, and that's the part I wonder if evil isn't doing more of replicating itself here, by dragging people down.
If it can make you stronger, then I guess go for it. But it's not required by us to be so involved we lose ourselves, our joy, our families, friends and lives.
Thank you so much for sharing! this is really good insight, and I have to agree, I wonder if God wants us to be so involved that it affects our mental state? Honestly, sometimes I look around at all the normies and wish I could go back to being blissfully ignorant of all the evil around us. It just seems we are the ones who are most in despair, waiting for change to happen but not seeing it happen. I guess I'm right now on the verge of being blackpilled. I dug in so far since 2020 and it honestly has only made my outlook on life worse - not sure that's what God wants for us either. That's why I asked the question... so thank you for sharing.
I’m a millennial and I’m just angry. I should have noticed all the evils of this world sooner than 2020 and I’m very disappointed in others my age who bought the Covid nonsense without asking questions. My escape from the ugliness in this world is to garden and prep for a doomsday scenario; I’m looking for my first house and being very particular to find a decent sized country location. I refuse to live in a city mostly because of the restrictions and politics there.
