I know not Q related but I am desperate to find help for a loved one.

I've had tinnitus since my last deployment to AFG 6 years ago. I'm not sure what caused it, as it didn't develop after an explosion. I'm not aware of sonic weapons being used over there as in Havana (Syndrome). I've had audiologist work ups and they say 50% or greater success in dealing with tinnitus is learning how to ignore it. Hypnosis might work. The problem is tinnitus is not necessarily an audiology issue, but more of a brain/nerve issue. I hope your friend gets better, but mine has been persistent for years. I refuse to let it make me nuts.
Thanks for commenting it is my son. I do like hearing that people have learned to live with it. I think that's what he is going to have to do. The Dr Berg video someone shared with me did help him temporarily though FYI. https://youtu.be/3MDO8KB3zjk
Same here - took mortar rounds and ducked into a building with an alarm and no ear protection. ringing ever since. refusing to let it make me nuts is a good way to put things.
