Hi everyone, I have recently had a miscarriage. I found out I was pregnant while I was taking my prescription for ivermectin. Went to the doctor for my ten week ultrasound and found out it was twins with no heartbeat. Babies stopped growing at 6 weeks. I was so heartbroken and still am but I'm being strong because it won't help me to get down and out. I am blessed to have three healthy kids and we will try again. I've never miscarried before and I'm just wondering if it could have been from the Ivermectin. What do you think?
Edit: I've prayed for twins for so long.
miscarriages can happen for no reason other than that something went wrong. Even with very healthy women, miscarriages can especially be the case with male babies and twins. Just a small deletion from nature. Many women have miscarriages in these early stages, without even realising they were pregnant.
I doubt that it was ivermectin. It is one of the safest medicines out there. Mares are given it when in foal for protection, if animals get that treatment, why not humans?
I'm sorry for your loss. However, you should be fine, and those children will return in other bodies if you want them. Get healthy, and don't fret too much. The hormones that make you depressed have not had too much of a chance to develop, so just eat right and exercise lightly. Sleep as much as you need, to heal.
Yes my wife just had our son 9 weeks early in December and I was startled to find out how common miscarriages are even in healthy people (like 20ish percent if I remember correctly) and also how many preemies there are.
preemie only means that women are not matching the normative. Everyone is different, in a bell-curve that extend at least three weeks from the 40-week mark.
Nine weeks is early. Did your son thrive?
My daughter had a surprise birth 6 weeks early, a few months back. The baby did not look like a preemie, he was chubby and had hair and nails! So, I fugure that the scans were prolly out. In any case, they kept them both in for some weeks, just tp be safe. Anyhoo, there was also a lock-down, so she had to walk to and from a motel to visit her son, alone. Anyway they seem healthy now.
Thank you for the advice, I will listen tonit
