If NPC theory has any merit to it, it explain near perfectly why most people just can't seem to be able to grasp what you've been telling them about the system.
That blank look, the immediate rejection, the programmed responses, the ability to maintain through control grids you and I find unbearable.
There is tons of research on it and it's very, very intriguing stuff.
The shear numbers of NPCs makes me think the simulation theory has merit. There is just no other way to explain these people. They just are not real inside. Like nobody is home. Parroting phrases and going through the motions. That seems to be their major function. Scary they have children and some are not NPCs. Poor kids. What a cluster....

wow, that explains a lot. Me I have a working relationship with my inner voice, we chat, have tea. Sometime we even share BBQ, usually in the summer time. It tells me all kinds of interesting things.
