Sure. I’m sure a lot of the Nazi soldiers (or insert any other bad actors in your view, Taliban, isis whatever) were just doing what they needed to do to provide food for their family.
Just saying, if people just had a little more backbone we wouldn’t be here today. But alas it was the easier way out. Not everyone can do research like we do? Why not? Bc they chose to spend their time on other things.
I’m not passing a judgement. I understand why people did what they did. But that’s also what caused us to be where we are.
While I agree with the overall point your making I also recognize that idealism is not reality. Not sure your Nazi soldier comparison to someone who damaged themselves holds any weight. The people who pushed the mandates are the Nazis not the people who took the shot. Expecting everyone or even a majority to be like you is extremely unrealistic. You need to sprinkle some reality into your idealism. The path to extreme goes in all directions.
I agree with what you’re saying. And I’m not saying they need to be punished. But I just don’t agree with them being innocent. They bare a certain degree of responsibility and how that will play out is their deal with God or their karma.
I myself am not an idealist. I’m merely pointing out how the human condition puts us in these situations bc we all fall short of ideal. I myself included. I was just lucky/blessed to be able to avoid the slings and arrows but I know everyday there will be new challenges that may cause me to fall and it may be my own doing. I’m aware of that.
Regarding the Nazi soldier comparison, this is what I mean…I don’t believe all the Nazis soldiers were evil people. Many were just following orders to avoid getting persecuted or keep food on their table etc etc. We will all be forced into uncomfortable situations sooner or later where we have to decide what is right and what is wrong. Where we draw the line, how far will we go to emulate Christ? These are not easy decisions nor did I say they were. As the saying goes, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
Just a discussion. Thanks for your input fren.
Not to drag this out but your last comment provoked me to share. I, like you, bear the responsibility of being sober and aware of deception. Jesus told us that we would be like sheep in the midst of wolves and to be wise as vipers while remaining soft as doves. I, like you it seems, take this very seriously. I naturally thought all Bible believing Christians should think this way. Imagine my surprise when people in my family whom I’d always held as more righteous and holy than myself start speaking up about how they got jabbed. My heart was broken and I felt guilty I had not spoken the obvious sooner because I would never had thought these people needed to be warned. Evidently the unaware come in all shapes and sizes. I agree with you whole heartedly that compliance feeds tyranny and you and I exhibit a vigilant awareness of this. I believe we are the exception. The only set standard is the belief in Christ. Everything else is personal. God is in control not us. It’s funny, at least I have to laugh to remain sane, my sister in defense of her jab told me I am too involved in the world and that it was a choice between her and God. Fair enough but it is lost on me how I am lost in the world and not her for falling for the deception. I had to learn to leave that conversation behind and appreciate her growth as she is much more aware of things now. Then my parents got it to protect grandma thinking they were doing good. What a mess. This fallen world is indeed a tragedy. Take care fren. Numbers 6:24-26 Titus 2:13.
Thank you for sharing my fren. God is in control.
What Nazi soldiers? Are you going back to Germany? The country fighting these communist satanists that we're dealing with now?
Nazi? Ukranian Jews?
