Nattokinase shouldn't be mixed with Coumadin/warfarin because your blood will get too thin. MIL was not allowed by her doc to eat natto for this reason.
had my dad on warfarin and he didn't want to quit his Natto. it does make the blood "thinner" as in increases (prothrombin) clotting time, and INR.
I let the coumadin clinic know -- who dose weekly based on INR, and we just adjusted the dose according to INR. he needed less warfarin on Natto to maintain the target INR.
Makes sense. When my mother went on Coumadin, they told her to try to eat roughly the same amount of foods daily that can have a blood thinning effect. Same principle.
Now that I think about it, the type of foods she was to eat in a consistent way were high Vitamin K foods. Natto is the highest source of Vitamin K.
While I was googling around I found this: "Vitamin K: The secret to healthy blood pressure your doctor hasn’t mentioned."
Also, people in NE Japan like natto a lot. They have stronger teeth than other parts of Japan. Vitamin K helps keep calcium in your teeth and bones instead of being deposited in your blood vessels.
They may be. But as someone who just got off blood thinners, I was reading up on nattokinase re COVID and there was a very strong warning not to mix with other blood thinners.
If on something powerful... yeah... don't mix... but baby aspirin? the effect won't necessarily be strong enough to matter.
If you are on eliquis, or other more powerful things... then yeah... probably wean off those and start this instead (if so inclined). Definitely not without risk... especially for eliquis which has withdrawal issues.
I'm not a doctor. But the powerful crap they have a lot of people on is totally unnecessary... but hard to stop once you're on it.
I'm only on aspirin now. Was on Plavix for a year after a blockage and stenting. I bruised like a 3 week old banana. Now that I'm off it, I can take a punch again.

you crack me up. "like a 3 week old banana."
Growing up that's all my mother could buy.
They saved them special for her.
You want a sweet treat, for a lot of kids? Fry under the broiler, spit in half bruised
Banana Seconds
from The Store. (We didn't have 2.)
For a nearly always hungry kid,
it's like Dynamite!
I actually prefer Cialis for blood thinner....not only does it think the blood much more efficiently, it also give massive pump all around to all things that can be pumped....All the muscles. Great compound <3

I don't know about others.

Sounds better than rat poison.
I believe nattokinase and serrapeptase are preferable to aspirin. Watch the videos.

I hear snake venom is good for this.
Warfarin blood thinner (most common blood thinner after aspirin) is basically repurposed rat poison.
