This- grew up in 70s and 80s in Cali. There used to be these things called firebreaks. They were like 20ft (?) wide and looked like and were logging roads. You could see them in the hills/mtns. These kept the fires from being carried by heavy winds like the Santa Ana's, into the neighboring forests and neighborhoods. The environmental idiots put and end to them, and the result is more and worse seasonal fires. A dragging trailer chain on asphalt starts a shit-ton of fires.
