The contractors who traffic in illegals are NOT legitimate business people. Such contractors are no better than drug-dealers. I'm talking about the difference between business people as opposed to scabs and scammers.
YES! Doing legit-business is TOUGH! Always has been. Always will be. Just ask Donald Trump.
Even legit businesses can have managers that screw up and hire illegals. Just ask Donald Trump 🤷♀️.
I personally think it should be easier for migrant workers to be able to get work visas. I know this is an unpopular viewpoint, but that's what I think.
We can't really use that "They're taking our jobs!" rally point, because it's getting damn hard for businesses to find US citizens to work. Someone needs to do those jobs.
I think if someone has a clean police record and can get and keep a job then they should be allowed in.
We spend so much money catching them and sending them back just so they can keep coming over again and again.
And until you can get companies and people to stop hiring illegals (not likely) it's just going to be an ongoing issue.
So either we make it easier for workers with no history of violence of crime to come here to do jobs it looks like no one else wants or we drastically increase the punishments for people hiring illegals, and raise wages to whatever it takes to get US citizens to do those jobs.
Because it's pretty clear that how we've been handling it isn't working all that well.
