I think in the minds of most Americans "lynching" involves the hanging of a black person? Have you ever heard of a white person being lynched? No, you haven't. So why act like it wasn't a torture instrument against blacks? It was.

If 'most Americans' believe that race has anything to do with lynching, then I'd say that the NAACP's marketing efforts have succeeded and government education has failed.
