I believe the snake venom can be taken literally in terms of venom peptides. If you research you will see that Big Pharma is experimenting with venomic structures and venom peptides in "therapies" (please note use of quotes) focused on the treatment of diseases such as stroke, cancer, pain and erectile dysfunction.
