I like to pull up their Market Watch page and watch as that little line goes DOWN and keeps going down.

I feel bad for all the normies who have this and Netflix in their 401ks.
I know that lots of good people have these stocks because either their stockbrokers recommend them or because they think they will always do well.
These types of things never seem to hurt the bigwigs. If they have a stock or two go bad, oh well, they have plenty of other sources of money.
I think the main people who will be hurt by this are just good meaning normies who just want to have a good retirement plan.
It's easy to scorn people for not knowing all of the dark stuff behind these things. But we were all like that at some time. And I'm still learning new things everyday from coming here.
Everyone can't know everything. And I think we should think about the people that things like this actually hurt. And that is very rarely the people who deserve to be hurt.
Certainly, everyone cannot know everything....however, that should not stop the efforts to take down evil where it's found. People have been getting hurt for a long time due to Disney and the stuff that occurs in their parks. I am way more concerned about that.
I completely understand what you mean. It's just that I don't think this is going to have a serious or long lasting negative impact on the people who are responsible for the horrible things occurring under the Disney name.
Anytime a stock drops in value from someone we support (like Trump and Truth Social recently) all you'll see here is rally cries of "Buy the dips!" But whenever it's from those we dislike we automatically think it's the death knell for them. I've seen the demise of Netflix celebrated here many times in the last few years.
I just have a difficult time not only with the double standards but also because I feel it's a hollow victory. Does this stock drop really affect those that deserve it? Not that I can see. Basically it just seems like a way for people to feel better about things, no matter if what they believe is true or not.
But it's absolutely possible I'm just not seeing things that others do. Can anyone point out who at Disney is being significantly hurt over this? Is their life ruined? Or did their net value just drop a few percentage points?
It's like mowing the lawn. You start at point A and keep on going. Eventually the job is done. The stocks are one aspect; there are many other.
