I never thought that about Trump. I never watched his show, though, it was not my cup of tea. But I remember many times hearing him on the radio saying "I should run for president" and I never had a negative reaction to that. Or a positive one either. I am from a time when Ross Perot ran and I guess I thought Trump would be like that - maybe good for the country but would not win. Even on election night, after voting for Trump, I thought I would wake up to a Hillary presidency and it upset me because I feared for our country in her hands. "I want Trump to win but I know it's not going to happen." I voted for him anyway, against the odds. I stayed up all damn night waiting for the outcome anyway, even though I personally thought there was a slim-to-none chance for Trump.
And my celebration of his win was HUGE. I woke my entire household up in the middle of the night to deliver the news!
I think a lot of people admired Trump until he ran for office.
