Sharing with you b/c I truly feel like this group of anons is a second family. My Mom suffered from Alzheimers for 10 years. She passed away yesterday evening. My Dad, brothers and I all got to see her in her final moments. We prayed for her to be taken to Heaven. She was a devout Christian. She was the strongest person I have ever known. She watched her mother die of Alzheimer's, she was diagnosed early and knew what was coming. She never complained and continued to live her life. I love my Mom and miss her. She hasn't been able to speak or recognize me for years, now she is resting and I can finally mourn and celebrate her life.
Alzheimer's is a terrible disease. It is hereditary, one day it may attack my brothers or myself. I will try to use the example my Mom set, not to get bitter and continue living.
Thanks for letting me share.
I am, like countless other patriots here Also terribly sorry for your Loss. - But may I give you Wonderful News...
I worked 40 years in medicine (& tho mostly in ICU-contexts), I managed couple Memory-care units where I showed... Alzheimers is Not hereditary, rather BOTH Preventable & Reversible... & any brain can heal. It does this via Neuroplasticity iow “the brain’s ability to change, remodel & reorganize for the purpose of adapting to new situations.” See:
Your beautiful Mom is in Heaven now, awaiting you with her Love... - yet while you live on this side of the veil may this Good News bring you also Joy... Take Good care. God Loves you deeply. True.
thank you for the information, I will save and review it.
