While I agree you should be prepared for anything, the likelihood of it getting that bad is very very low. Trump talked about the gold standard for years. There's rumblings of some quantum currency and such.

Now I don't have all the answers, but I find it hard to believe that this masterful plan would hinge on fiat currency maintaining its status. If anything, the plan includes eliminating the Fed and immediately replacing it with a better system and if you research enough you'll find some detailed theories about this.
