Interesting.
I tried to understand why it was removed from WH in 2014, wondering if BO had it removed. Seems it was on loan from a private collector who sold to Winona Museum in MN, who is now putting it up for auction. Not including those details seemed a little odd to me, but journalism…
I think it is comms. Trump just spoke in Delaware, OH. And his last rally was in Washington? (IIRC) Someone had a post about the recent comms with Washington and Delaware...
The following is a comment someone left on the article.
Forbes says "The painting previously hung in the White House for about 35 years while on loan from Detroit millionaire industrialistRichard Manoogian, spanning from President Richard Nixons administration through Barack Obamas two terms in office, when it was often displayed in the West Wing lobby." Then they say, In 2015,billionaire Robert Kierlinand his wife Mary Burrichter announced they purchased the painting for an undisclosed sum, and loaned it to the Minnesota Marine Art Museum in Winona, Minnesota, which the couple founded." I had to look it up since this article didn't say why it isn't in the White House anymore. I hope the Smithsonian buys it.
