Why do you think that's a positive at all? Elon Musk is the richest man on the planet, above Bezos and most importantly far and beyond people the likes of Soros, and he only got richer during the plandemic. Two little facts for you.
It'll never get in my dense head how tf do people have a hate boner for Bezos and Soros while happily wagging their tail on Musk. It's flat out illogical.
It's not just illogical, it's hilarious given that anons spout an anti-Hollywood narrative - when a Marvel-Disney movie basically shilled for Elon Musk by having him on a party with the Iron Man. I'll say that again: Disney shilled for Elon Musk on one of their garbage blockbusters. They planted that idea right in your head.
-Twatter is a cesspool of censorship and social engineering. It literally cannot get any worse.
-Musk has repeatedly emphasized a free, open platform as being critical to the democratic process. Whether he makes good on this remains to be seen, but he's not mincing his words. Nobody else with the means other than the real POTUS are making the same statements.
-I don't care about anyone being rich. I admire the rich, unless they do things to damage the world and this Republic the way Bezos, Soros and Gates have. You seem to be implying that being rich automatically makes him a "bad guy". I've got news for you: Twatter is already owned by rich people and a grass roots approach to changing the platform hasn't been going well. It's going to be owned by one of those evil rich guys whether Musk buys the company or not.
"It's flat out illogical"
What's illogical is classifying all rich people as the same, then belittling those who are actually using logic and reason to assess the situation. Lumping Musk in with the likes of Bezos and Soros is ignorant at worst, lazy at best. Musk has been one of the very few billionaires that has pointed to a positive future while saying "we can build that". When pointing out problems, he has consistently laid out solutions that don't involve austerity or loss of freedoms for the little people. That's the kind of person I want leading us into the future.
Nobody is saying that Musk is the second coming. If he takes over Twatter and doesn't make good on his promises, I'll be the first one on here criticizing him. But to say that we should be hanging our heads simply because he's rich is an incredibly tepid argument.
Why is he bothering making twitter free speech when truth social is coming out? Why not jump on board with that instead? The only way i see musk buying twitter as a positive is if he merges it with DWAC. Otherwise i see this as nothing more than a move to take attention away from truth which is rapidly growing
This is purely informed speculation on my part, but I'm guessing it's due to three primary reasons:
-Truth Social's success is not yet assured. It is a fledgling platform at this point compared to Twatter.
-Twatter is still the most influential social media platform in D.C. and likely the world. This is a sad state of affairs, but it's sadly the truth.
-The real President, President Trump is still a lightning rod when it comes to the media. Ideally this takeover of Twatter puts free speech front and center. I think if Musk merged with DWAC or just attached himself to DWAC, all of the stories would be about how Musk is now a right wing extremist and the free speech message would be lost.
You make some good points. But taking into account your second point i think it would be better for the world in general if musk let twitter crash and burn. I feel like hes putting his wallet ahead of whats right in this case.

far and beyond Soros because you trust whose financial figures?
You'll never get it in your dense head because like all the dem fools who judged Trump based on recent news media instead of on his decades of appearances and writings, Musk has shown that he's not cut from the same cloth as Soros or Bezos in any way. Could they all be lies? Sure, just like all Trump's public statements where he seemed to be pro freedom and patriotic - but all things being equal Trump's actions seem to have borne out his stated positions. Some would argue likewise with Musk - he appears to be a nerd with a mission and his actions seem to bear that out. He's not some dirty financial manipulator like Soros or some sweat shop fascist like Bezos. It seems to be your stance that is illogical.

Because nothing is predictable and you can't become fossilized by old paradigms. Flexible to the changing landscapes.
