Your last paragraph is spot on. That's what it boils down to. Plan or no plan, we can only make it through this if enough of humanity turns to God through his Son, Jesus Christ.
Pray.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
"Whosoever" equals "whole world"?
Let me back up so that there is no misunderstanding, I'm reading the above comment to state that humanity will bring in the Kingdom. That is not biblical, at all.
There is NO HOPE outside of Christ. None. No - humanity will NOT bring in the Kingdom. But, humanity has wandered so far from God, that just maybe something will bring the world to its knees and people will truly seek God and believe. I believe the world will experience the greatest revival ever witnessed, and soon ‘and then the end will come’. While we all want to see the end of evil, that will not happen until Christ returns. We should not be putting out faith in 45, Putin, Elon, to bring about peace etc. We have to realise that 45 is/was just a vehicle that God used in this moment in history. Our faith should be anchored in Christ alone. We will not get thru this - physically, mentally or spiritually - without Him.
God alone brings in HIS kingdom, however there is POWER in Prayer and when we cry out to Him in humility, He hears us.
2 Chronicles 7:14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14

Where in the Bible does it say this?
John 3:16. Look it up.

God works on His "clock," not ours.
