From news headlines described the war as the start of WWIII and gaslit everyone with pictures of dead families with children. How did this just go away? Is it not important anymore? NCSWIC

I seriously doubt our mil capabilities and troop combat effectiveness compared to Russia's. Our strategy the past twenty yrs has been:

Park carriers nearby.
Bomb everything to shit including civilian targets.
Move in and attempt to play clean up.

This is dirty cheap fighting... And we can't even do it right half the time. The Russians are much more methodical and are a highly trained force with equipment to pace our own. A much different adversary compared to the opposition faced in Iraq & Afghanistan.
