I think this could be refined a bit, though, the overall premise is good.

Not everyone is trying to create wedges for the sake of dividing Patriots.

Some of it is a purity spiral-like effect, with people having high expectations for the various Patriot influencers (e.g., Bannon, Tucker, Trump, etc.).
