Seriously guys, I'm really getting sick of this. Yes, it's important to learn how to research, but remember when they invented the calculator and the teacher kept telling you how important it was to learn to do it on paper, and yet...there's a fucking calculator?
This place is our calculator. Nobody is going to take anyone else's words at face value, true. And we shouldn't. But the truth is not everyone knows what everyone else knows and we're not going to learn what everyone knows if we keep sticking our noses in the air and saying "look it up yourself."
You looked it up apparently, do us all a favor and show us where you looked. It will help get us all where we need to be a hell of a lot faster.
I highly value the work ethic and determination shown by those who do the deep digging and I'm so grateful for their shared bounty (the results of those deep digs).
I also know there are some lazy folks out there who want things handed to them on a platter.
BUT...
I think often times what some are requesting is not to be spoon fed, but rather to be given some direction in terms of reliable source material for mining their own research and perhaps some sensible, relevant search terms to begin the process.
I've been here for bit now and I still encounter new research/topics posted every day that I had no idea about. Sometimes if there isn't enough context around the post, it's tough to know where to dig for the best introductory results. It's hard not to get sucked in by misinformation in these cases.
For those willing to really get their hands dirty while digging, the rewards are beyond valuable (freedom & power)! Big thanks to all who help out along the journey to knowing.
