This was so good I had to share it right away:
"Netflix began layoffs on Thursday, just days after its stock plummeted."
"The belt tightening appears to have started at Netflix: A number of journalists working for the company’s entertainment site Tudum have been laid off, according to tweets by those affected."
Big grin on MY face. What about you?
Black Vikings are amusing.
Because they never seem to want to tell the tales of interesting historical black figures. They have to shoehorn minorities into stories that are historically white... because apparently it's not okay to put a white person in a historically black character, but the reverse is untrue.
The historical person often tossed around that could be very interesting is a black man who went to Japan many many years ago and was taken in and became a samurai. He seems to have been the inspiration for Afro Samurai, but then was forgotten.
Odd. You would think they would want actual people, but in fact no.
Because it's not about telling history in an interesting way, it's about tearing down our history and cultures.
And it's a shame. There are more people like the black samurai sprinkled throughout history that would be neat to hear about in the form of romanticized series or films, but then they wouldn't be black washing.
