It's nuts. A channel i follow regularly for movie news gets a modest but respectably consistant 3k views a video. Their coverage of the Depp trial this week has got them 4M views in one day for each video.

There is an insane amount of traffic and interest in this case. And it's reflected in many channels covering this trial.
