Is it coming to terms with the corrupt political establishment?
Is it people realizing evil people have been taking over the world?
Is it US citizens realizing that the US government does not control our rights, as much as they are trying to?
Or some other rhetorical questions?
I'd like to float a couple ideas for discussion - keep things simple - concerning the brilliance of our founding fathers, and maybe some of what has been lost over time.
-
Freedom of speech - people need to wake up to the fact that freedom of speech is about a lot more being free to say what ever they want, at any time. It is also a check on evil. That should be clear by now (and I think it's part of what Q meant by the great awakening). If people aren't allowed to speak freely, and the MSM is a perfect example of what happens when freedom of speech is taken away. Part of governing ourselves is speaking freely about what we see going on around us.
-
The Right to Bear Arms - what is a Republic without the right to bear arms? It's been joked about. We've been told it's just about hunting, or maybe to throw off a corrupt government, but then we are told that imposing just a few restrictions is for our benefit and protection. And the MSM talking heads talk about how reasonable that is, and people buy into it. But I think the founding fathers had much more in mind. The right to bear arms is also the right to self defense. The right to bear arms is the right to stop evil in it's tracks. Not vigilantism, there are courts for dealing with criminals after the fact. But the ability to stop an attacker, to prevent a crime, to stop a criminal in the act of violence - That Is a Form of Self Government, and a check on evil. It's not about handing everything over to the Feds - we've seen how that works out, and maybe that's a big part of the great awakening.
So, if we are going to have a Republic, we must participate in the actions of government, which is to have law and order all around us, in our own communities. Some are called to serve in government positions, but they need to be vetted by us, and not be some name floated by the MSM. That may sound difficult, but a place like this board, and others, is the perfect place to expose the people seeking office. Everybody knows somebody, and with enough honest people participating, we should be able to vet anyone running for office. I happen to now 2 people in our state government. More importantly, I know other people who know them better than I do. So while I might not agree with everything those 2 say (who am I kidding, 99% is as good as it gets), I know they are one of us, and stand for what is right.
I don't want to ignore what is going on in the world around us as part of this movement. Far from it. I just think too many people in the US are still sleeping on their responsibilities.
What about Buddhist, Islam, Muslim, Krishna? Do all those people not get saved bc they don't believe in your Jesus?
No, they are judged on the basis of the light they have, according to the book of Romans. And Jesus often appears personally to any who are open to the truth about Him. Romans 2 -6
I’m not Jesus ‘ lawyer I’m just his witness. All I can say is what he’s done in my life.!
If YOU read the Bible, God will speak to you and you can figure it out.
I’m not God I don’t forgive sin, only he does. Only he can know the heart of each individual person. And if they have accepted Christ or not.
If you truly want to know the answer to your question, read the Bible!
God bless you and have a great day!
You didn't answer my questions at all, nor do I expect you to right away. The point is to think about it. There are many religions, Christianity being one of the newer ones, so who is to say the Christian God is the right one?
As long as you believe and are happy in your life that is all that matters. Dont be surprised when posting on a public forum that there are other gods that people believe in and live wonderful lives too.
Oh I know there are a lot of people who have different religions. But I’m not religious. People can live perfectly happy lives without God, and without believing in Jesus. The only problem is when they die they’ll go to hell. So there’s that!
Anyway like I said if you really wanna know the answer to your question, then read the Bible. I’m not God I can’t tell you what to do. But the fact that you asked, tells me something inside you wants to know the answer to that question.
Having a relationship with Jesus Christ, is not a religion. It’s a relationship. All other religions on the planet or man reaching out to God. Christianity is God reaching out to man.
I am grateful for the forgiveness of my sins, because they have been plenty! All that matters to me, is that when I die I know where I’m going. Having that assurance, it’s very comforting.
How do you know there is heaven and hell? Serious question. I agree you don't have to be religious to have a relationship with God. We were taught what we do not know to have faith. So were taught to have faith that there is a heaven to do good and raised with fear that is we do bad we go to hell. I no longer will live in fear. I say hell can happen now, you make a bad choice or 2 it will be your hell.
How about do good so you get rewarded now? I'm not here to live a wonderful life in hopes to go to heaven I am here to live a wonderful life bc it makes me feel good and I want to experience all the wonderful things now. Most likely we die and start this journey all over again. We are beings of light and energy so when we die that energy has to go somewhere right?
You don't have to agree with me, just some things that I have been thinking and researching a lot on bc the Bible, as wonderful as it is if interpreted the right way, was just not enough. For a planet that has been around for billions of years there is much more for us to discover about our past if you're willing to look for it.
