To those of us who are watching/paying attention, it would appear they are doing themselves in.

However, FAR too many normies snd sheeple DON'T watch/pay attention and are oblivious to how "conservative" historically middle-of-the-road "liberalr"/"leftist" ideology has become (e.g., many JFK Dems would likely be "right of [today's] center" and be within today's Republican camp) and HOW FAR LEFT and extreme today's left has gone.

These ignorant/sleeping normies are the ones who NEED to be awakened ASAP as they represent a sizable portion of the public opinion/support that will facilitate acceptance and implementation of the required changes coming down the pike.
