Sammy was a good boy at heart...we had to put him down due to a lot of sudden medical complications. It started with cushions disease, then back problems, and then his front legs sustained injury which caused them to be hollowed out .
I write this asking for prayers, and to shed light on tyranny of the animal care system. It really is no better than how horrible our human health care system is. All these drugs and treatment to help our precious pets are insanely expensive. Only those with wealth are able to allow their pets a second chance at life. I know Sammy would've recovered and had at least 2 more years if we were able to afford the treatment. He had the spirit and energy to move around, just didn't have the body... I also noticed some suspicious behavior from the staff. I don't believe they're nefarious by any intent, but I could sense a level of incompetence, or neglect from them. I don't know how to explain, but it didn't feel right. I don't think I'll go back to them...but despite that we did what we had to do, and we did everything we possibly could to help our dog.
I pray too, that the collapse of this wicked evil in our world will help not just us humans, but as well our furry families.
And thank you all for fighting the good fight in this information war.
Condolences' fren, went through that with one of mine last year, very painful to the heart, hard choice to make it was. I like to think my very energetic puppers is now our running around, everywhere she always wanted to go but couldn't. Pet vets and meds and surgeries are way expensive now. Mine has a single lump of cancer on back leg, paid for the surgery to remove it but, by the end of the next month it came back but worse and spread down her leg and hip. We chose to have her put to sleep, our vet gave us great pain meds for her and was very kind about it, "just call us when you think it is best to bring her in for it." She quckly just got to the point where she would respond, wag tail but, you could tell she did not want to move or eat (and she loved to do both) and even with meds was in a lot of pain. HARDEST thing ever to make that call. Prayers to you and your loved ones.
