It seems that many people and being activated on the Truth platform, but it's still small % of this who may want to read it.
Why to limit the truth? Why only allow it to the elitary groups who are activated? Why to restrict the access to the US only? Why to restrict read access to those who are registered?
The proposal is:
-
build simple code to display the information in the browser (removes the risk of the app being removed from the app store)
-
make it available in any country, don't restrict it to the US only - the world is watching
-
display the information read only for unauthorized users too, removing the barrier to register
It's the same reason why nightclubs have lineups.
Much better to limit it to a single Chinese overpriced bullshit merchandiser than to open it up to everything and everyone.
I think the main goal was to try to stabilize it and try to keep it discrete before the Internet does what the Internet does, which is flat out destroy new things. I'm still thinking even when the real version is released it will take the usual abuse. All the functionality is there, I haven't tried setting up my own Mastodon build or anything, but since Qagg and such is able to hook into the API, I'm sure it's all intentional.
It's an optics fail for me though. Fuck Apple. Even though I use Android/Google for my phone I will say to it, fuck them too. I use my phone to call people, if I want to type shit, I have computers for that.
But opening it as read only wouldn't change any content so nothing would be destroyed.
Also, in case you're not aware, you can see most of the Truth Social posts from the Q crowd's favorites on Qagg. If you've never used it before, I'll step ya through some basics.
Go to qagg.news
On the main page it defaults to Q Drops selected.
Click "Q Drops" to deselect. This should eliminate all the posts and just leave a "Page Render Time"
Next click "Truth", this will give you a dropdown list that will allow you to select individual people, or you can select "All Section", I would suggest clicking both "All Sections" so you can go back to see what Devin/Kash/others were posting over the last few months.
Click Save and it should now show you all the different posts those folks have made on Truth.
I'm talking about full on attacks that is common when popular projects launch. The Internet will always haze things with a full on assault of DDoS, exploit scanning on all the servers, and trying to find new holes in the code. Even if it's read only, you still can get a feel for how the underlying web and sql queries will work.
DDoS can also be attempted on the endpoints used by the mobile app. The same endpoint could be used by the webapp so enabling webapp option wouldn't increase the risk. If someone would like to attempt the DDoS attrack they would do it already. With the number of users already activated it's likely that some Deep State players are active already so they can listen to the communication of the mobile app with the server and find out the endpoints domains and URLs.
Trump even said that there are many "journalists" on the users list already. Some of these Mockingbird players might have helped the DS hackers to find out the endpoints. What they wanted to know - they already know.
Enabling the webapp doesn't change the risk at that point.
I'm mainly talking about the lizard squad/4chan/anon type crowds.
I'm sure some things have already been attempted and I'm sure they've already got the infrastructure planned for it, but like I said, the Internet does what the Internet does, and once it goes global the target gets bigger.
Supposed to be open by end of May, but it's a big letdown for me as I was planning on using it to become serious on social media with my companies and such, as none of the other platforms have been my cup of tea and social media generally isn't my thing, but figured it'd be a good tie in to support Trump, his platform, and my businesses. The "launch" and delays is disheartening to me in that regard.
