Did they bioengineer a tick that makes people allergic to red meat? Prevalent in D.C. area.

Look into Plum Island NY and Operation Paper Clip. I can’t remember the “scientist” name, but shortly after WWII the Army imported this Nazi scientist who was engaged in bio-warfare. This guy, ironically enough had been experimenting in Germany with Ticks and their ability to transmit disease. His goal at the time was trying to figure out how to get ticks to infect Jews with something that would take them out. Supposedly he came here and continued his research. Supposedly this is where Lyme disease originated. Home boy was successful in getting the ticks to transmit a virus to humans and allegedly some of these ticks escaped/were released from Plum Island.
