It's a wise approach. Some of us get it immediately. Then again, some who latch on straight away are also slightly unhinged people who throw their beliefs whenever something confirms their biases.

I have plenty of respect for a person how has their doubts, is somewhat skeptical, but who changes their position based on information and empirical rationality.
