To keep the smudges on the outskirts down, get yourself a roll of parchment paper and cut little bits off to put under your hand. Never let it scoot on the page, it's not fool-proof, but it helps a ton.

At the very least, it keeps your palm clean as you move around the piece.
Otherwise, good job. You're far better at hair than I am, but the cheek structure needs some help.

Examine the bone closely. Imagine how it moves as the face muscles wiggle around.
If you can perfect the shoulder blades, the same applies to the cheek bone:

You had me pegged on that, I’m a southpaw and I have a huge tendency to end up with side of my hand black from pencil. I will try that, thanks. I do have a plastic tool for color matching when painting that I also use to gauge straight lines and keep between my hand and paper but will try your suggestion.
You need something disposable. I have some plastic protractors that I used in college that have enough graphite in them to use as a pencil on their own. Graphite is very tiny, so it gets into just about every material. Eventually, it builds up enough to be a pest.
Sucks that you have to burn through paper to draw on paper, but thems how it do...
Also, buy yourself this type of eraser:

Amazing stuff... Can't recommend enough. No more eraser shavings!
@sleepydude, your Amazon link is way too long and includes trackers. Please try shortening it in future. This is the typical format:

Okay.
Would I open in a private browser to get the url?
How do you go about grabbing the shorter url?
Thanks
Another beauty
You're really good!! Those are so lovely!
