Thanks for the context…but I’m still confused. Possibly more than ever. What’s the big deal? His “poetry” was not so good. I don’t understand. Also I only could get through half of it. Is it satire?

It's making fun of the semi-new "Battle Rap" circuit which eschews the traditional skills based "cipher" format for prewritten, garbage, "punchlines".
