You have a bad attitude. Our system is capitalism, where private individuals figure out how to put their money into some project (or assume debt) and offer it for the public. They probably have distribution arrangements and the venue providers (and producers) need to get paid from a paying audience before they can provide it for free. To you. Who apparently doesn't want to pay a dime. So, if you think all this should be provided for free, you are perfectly welcome to put your money where your mouth is and pay all their production bills and venue rentals.
