In any case, again, the reason it's a hot button topic that we get bludgeoned with is because it's always all talk but nothing done. But that doesn't make the topic any less important. Now it finally seems like we're primed to see something happen, but for all we know it's another head fake and false hope.

Yep that’s exactly what hot button issues are - nothing useful will be done. Just like the race card - no one is willing to try and solve the situation, cuz it’s too valuable to play when voting time comes around.
