It's not a reason to not use linux. Linux is now a far greater entity than its creator, who has been semi-cancelled twice now.

If you do use Linux, use a spurce based distro and weed out everything unnecessary and run bare minimum.

I used to run Gentoo for years, however it got really hard keeping it up to date.
