A lot of mothers I know who had abortion did so because they were told their babies had a birth defect or would grow up with some genetic disease. It's still sad, because they don't even give the baby a chance for life.

I know one mother who was told her baby would have a defect, and she didn't care, still had her kid, and her kid turned out to be perfectly healthy. I sometimes wonder if doctors have an incentive to lie about genetic defects or exxagerate
