Andrew Jackson. Destroyed the Fed of his day. Lost the election to cheaters. Came back and kicked butt. Man of the people. Survived assassination attempts, including by charging the would-be assassin with his own cane.

People have various opinions about Jefferson, but his war to the Shores of Tripoli was pure standing up for freedom.
