Some of us believe God is the creator, and we are not supposed to alter his creation.
I do my best not to eat GMO foods (when I eat out, I do my best to avoid junk but no it's not 100% guaranteed) and I have not gotten a vaccination since I've been an adult.
My red line is well below transhumanism, merging tech with mankind.
I am asking you because I have heard this argument before in places i could not ask about it. I'm legitimately asking for illumination of your position.
A summary of my understanding of scripture is that God didn't just create us, He created all things. He then gave us dominion over all He created, including ourselves.
Why would our given dominion allow us to farm the earth, log the earth, mine the earth, alter plants (non-modern, selective harvesting and weeding going back as far as we have records), alter animals (again, non-modern - husbandry going back as far as we know), alter our function (milk drinking, eye glasses, hearing aids, hunting weapons, etc), build any and all technology (houses, dog kennels, in addition to previous mentions) --- all of this is okay --- but adding a bionic arm is too far? Adding protein to a random bean is against His plan?
And, like I prefaced, I am asking this for illumination. In my view, our dominion is uncontested in His scripture - our actions and intentions are not. My illustration is this: Giving a blind baby, say, a bionic eye that happens to be able to do more than a normal eye is good intention and use of technology.
Giving Elon Musk the same eye knowing that he wants to explode the moon with it is bad intention and where the line is drawn for me.

My apologies for the brick wall of text.
