I understand every parent has to decide what’s appropriate for their children. Unfortunately we live in a world where other’s want to influence our kids in very damaging ways.
I’d rather my kid listen to Hank than the other trash out there. When my child was little we listened to country music in the car instead of kids songs. The only song I ever skipped was Jimmy Buffet, “Let’s Get Drunk & Screw”
I get it & appreciate you saying that. I edited my comment. It’s rare people agree on parenting styles. If both parents can a agree it’s probably rare.
Actually, I’ve been listening to more music lately during my free time at home. Spending less time here, TV & online. (Don’t misunderstand, I love it here but I know when I need a break!)
I normally don’t listen to Hank Jr unless I’m with my hubby. He’s the diehard Hank fan. He’s steady in his musical tastes & I’m all over the place. It’s something I can enjoy with him because I see him let go of the stress of work & be 18 again. I came across that quote & it spoke to me, so I shared.
The past few days I’ve been into 70s soft rock. Now I’m listening to upbeat outlaw country rock.
Bottom line whatever helps you recharge do it for yourself! Seems like we have been in a fight for way to long & it’s not over yet.
I saw Hank Jr in 83, I was a junior in high school. That was a heck of an experience! Reynolds’s Coliseum NC State University. It’s still one of the top concerts I’ve experienced.
I’ll have to listen careful. I believe many famous people just might be here. I’m not looking for them because they deserve their privacy just like everyone else. I’m very thankful for the few celebrities that actually take risk and speak out. They are jeopardizing their careers or label contracts when speaking up. On the other side I’ve lost respect for those that sing and freedom, America & speaking your mind & have kept silent.

Not appropriate for kids to listen.

That's why I put the careful who's gonna listen bit.

No need to edit anything. Here, we say what's on our minds and hearts.
Thanks, normally I don’t.

I just discovered him a few months ago. There’s so many great singer songwriters telling the truth! I like him.

That’s a great message!
If you listen carefully to Struggle's lyrics, might make you wonder what his screen name is here.
