When Dr. Ben Carson endorsed Trump in March 2016, Barnette tweeted that “there’s a real disconnect, for me” in Carson endorsing Trump over Cruz."

To be fair, many people felt that way because we were stuck on the old paradigm of how politics are "supposed to be."
We now know that Trump was effective beyond what many could even fathom, and that is considering that the establishment was against him.
