Looked a little deeper. Seems some fuckery is afoot. They claim they need to scrap these for the Independence class, but they have also already started decomissioning nearly new Independence class ships due to the cost to upgrade them. Instead putting that money into Friggates.

Seems like the Navy is either in on making sure China has the largest Navy, or they are just inon the cash grab. Seems a lot like the Bradley all over again.
