With Bitcoin going down so much, I was thinking of purchasing a little when it bottoms out. I was then wondering if maybe the white hats are going to be doing away with it… in which case I wouldn’t want to buy. What are your guys’ thoughts on it?

I bought a hundy worth yesterday at one of those crypto ATMs being I had some cash I'd rather put in that ATM than my bank's.
May by some more, maybe a little more XRP as well.
No one's really sure what'll happen in the long run, nor the short for that matter. I've only invested a few hundred, nothing that'll kill me, but I figure it's a worthwhile investment when the centralized monetary system goes kaput.
If you're unsure about crypto, physical silver, or gold if your rolling like that, are excellent inflation hedges as well. With silver hopefully coming out from under price manipulation and shooting up 10 fold or more.
I don't get anything out of it, but I like Golden State Mint, I've bought most of my silver there. https://www.goldenstatemint.com/
Either way, you want to buy something you hold, if BTC, buy it and get a hardware wallet to hold it, don't keep it on the crypto exchange, IE CoinBase. And precious metals, buy physical, not paper, as in stocks.
