It took a little over an hour of looking at the video and writing up the document.
So, the lighting is consistent between the three shots, and the foreground and consistent with the background. They could still have done a green screen but it means that they would have had to do a great job at it. Or perhaps what Disney is doing, which is they use a 3d screen with the unreal engine to create a virtual production environment. this creates consistent lighting much easier than greenscreen and studio lighting.
The image of of them both together looks kinda strange since its a "scene" shot and a very wide-angle, while the other closeups are a much larger focal length. This is easy to do in real life, but it's poor video directing.
The mask-like appearance under the neck is from the studio lighting that was setup. its causing a harsh shadow, but its constant within the scene and there is evidence of that lighting within the background.
As for Biden's performance. He seemed a lot more mentally stable during this interview than normal, he might have been having a good day, been on some sort of drug.
Its also often that multiple takes within an interview can happen if requested so any major gaffs could be redone.
After reviewing the video and spending time analyzing the video, although my initial reaction was that the video did look strange, its my understanding based solely on the data, that this video is likely a real video.
I dont have enough data to determine if the entire scene is actually on a set. That could be possible.
I dont have enough data to determine if this is the real biden since my data points are from his right side not his left. I do se a few matching datapoints though from the areas that I can see.
I posted this in another link to you, sorry for the double posting, but here you go:
-Here is a little gif of a high res version of the image you provided then faded into a similar image where Biden has no mask. The nose doesn't move all that much but it does look nasty with that image alone. https://i.ibb.co/gryTX4c/ezgif-com-gif-maker-2.gif
while looking at the gif, just use your finger to move the tip of your nose the amount you can see in the gif. I am able to move it the same amount with very little pressure
It does fold that way for Biden, i think the gif shows that off pretty convincingly.
lol. I know it wasn't a finger that pulled his nose, I assumed you were not wearing a mask, the finger is to provide force, and you can control that force with your body, that way you can inherently understand the amount of force the mask would need to move the nose like that, - which isn't a lot.
I guess if you need me to I can put on a mask and show you. It happens to me too. in a very similar way to his.
The ask isn't falling from gravity but by his chin when his jaw opens. The mask can press against the nose (very tightly even), and be pulled down by the chin when the jaw opens.
Often when I had to wear one in the past, I would pull it down and off my nose by opening my mouth.
I am the one taking time out of my day, and actually creating new things just to show what's happening. Don't you feel like the effort is a little one-sided?
